Horses-in-the-Hood
Horses in the Hood Los Angeles (HHLA) is a nonprofit public benefit corporation that has been working with organizations and institutions in the low-income, largely African-American and Latino community of Watts and Compton within the South Central section of Los Angeles since 1999. As of the end of 2006, HHLA has sent 526 at-risk youth to 46 horse camps.

Membership is FREE. Our current membership is more than 2,500, with a daily traffic of more than 250. The ethnic breakdown is 48% Latino/and 50% African-American and 2% other.

Vision & Application - Our vision is to revitalize the community of Los Angeles by providing youth with a safe environment to develop and grow. We hope to work with the Greater Los Angeles community in changing common perceptions of the inner city. Please Make a donation today!
