Coaches

Lucius Allen spent 10 years in the NBA, playing for four top-ranked teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers. He decided to take on an awesome challenge when he became one of the original coaches to join the basketball club. He leads his upper age division players by example as he sets the standard of excellence on and off the court.

Walter McMahan is the head coach of the lower age division teams and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading first rate youth basketball clubs. His “discipline with love” philosophy of mentoring and coaching players has proven to be a winning combination.

Who We Are...

The Reach Back L. A. Basketball Club is one of the many sponsored programs by Reach Back L. A. Our organized traveling basketball teams participate in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) - sanctioned tournaments and games.

The teams are headed by renowned coaches experienced in directing youth sports programs—many of whom have played college-level NCAA or professional basketball in the NBA and are generously giving their own time to help the players of tomorrow achieve their dreams.
